Codes

Floricultural auctions use codes to identify products and describe them in more detail in trading plants and flowers. Product codes are used for identification. Characteristic codes are used for further description of certain aspects of the product important to trade, including quality characteristics (with the inspection code), sorting characteristics and logistical aspects (container code). The VBN administers these codes for the auctions. The information is necessary for the correct product information in the chain.
