The VBN is the source of information for turnover, supply trends and pricing in the Dutch floristry sector. VBN information refers to supply, sales and price trends at the product and product group levels. The VBN database does not contain information on buyers, growers, sorting or quality, nor does it include information at the day-to-day level. This information is available from the individual auctions.

Market information
The auctions use appropriate market information to make policy decisions and as a source for further research. The VBN supports the auctions by means of current statistical data and product market surveys.

Annual statistical figures for VBN:

VBN annuals are issued on CD-ROM as of 2008. There is one CD with cut flowers figures and one with plants figures. The cost of these is:

Cut flowers CD                 €85

Plants CD                        €85

Cut flowers and plants       €145

These prices do not include VAT at 19%.
