Why deliver products to the VKC when reactivating a product code?
When growers and breeders wanted to reactivate a blocked product, an email message or telephone request to the VBN (Association of Flower Auctions in The Netherlands) used to be enough. However, this procedure has been changed because the reactivated product code did not always correspond with the plant.

The product should now be delivered to the VKC (Permanent Judging Committee) so that the VKC can confirm that the product corresponds with the blocked code. It will also check whether the photo needs to be updated.

Once the VKC has confirmed that the product is actually the blocked product, the VKC will send the VBN a request to reactivate the product code. The VBN will then inform the grower or breeder of the activation date.

If you have any questions about the above, you can contact VBN Coding at Vbncodering@floraholland.nl.
